She's only 3 months old but already looks as big as a normal adult cat... well only until you see how huge Julius is! She truly brought a burst of fresh air in the house and I couldn't be happier. Even Julius, who is terribly naughty and territorial, fell in love with her just after one day and started behaving like a big brother!? We were imagining crazy fights and sleepless nights but none of that happened, the two rascals left us speechless :)
We named her after one of our favorite characters, Lana from Miyazaki's "Future Boy Conan". Lana also means "wool" in italian, and it's a funny coincidence because Julius is actually the latin word for "wooly"!

Nell'ultima settimana avrete notato un pochino di silenzio da queste parti, sono stata particolarmente "impegnata" con una certa gattina che non vedevo l'ora di presentarvi! Ecco Lana, la new entry nella nostra famigliuola. Ha solo tre mesi ma e' gia' grande come un normale gatto adulto... vabbe', tutto cio' fin quando non vedete quanto sia mastodontico Julius! La piccina ha portato una gran ventata d'aria fresca in casa e non potrei esserne piu' felice. Persino Julius, che e' gelosissimo e territoriale con qualsiasi estraneo, se ne e' innamorato dopo un solo giorno e ha iniziato a comportarsi con lei come un fratello piu' grande.. Noi immaginavamo gia' combattimenti all'ultimo sangue e notti insonni, e invece no, un pesce lesso :)
Il nome Lana arriva da uno dei nostri personaggi preferiti, la ragazzina col vestito rosso in "Conan, il ragazzo del futuro" di Miyazaki, una delle serie piu' belle della nostra infanzia. In piu' c'e' una coincidenza carina, perche' Julius e' il nome latino per "joulus", che a quanto pare in greco antico significa... "lanuginoso"!
