The Vintage Emporium

As promised, here is the little vintage boutique that won a special place in my heart! To be precise, it is actually a cafe. A very pretty cafe with the most delicious Victorian delicacies (I heartily recommend the coffee and walnut cake) (yes, it's the big slice in the picture below), a large selection of herbal drinks and teas (I completely fell in love with the Hot Apple and Cinnamon, SO good.) and every tuesday night they even arrange life drawing sessions with a model, if I lived in London I would  definitely be there every single week! Sounds like this place was practically made for me. The music was lovely and blended so well with the style of the place, creating a perfectly cosy mood.
Downstairs was the vintage room, full of all sorts of old treasures, with stock aged between the Victorian era and the 50s. Unfortunately the lady wouldn't let me take any pictures there (but I managed to snap a couple before she arrived, ha!) so I'll just try to describe it for you: imagine old Victorian lace gowns, laced up witchy boots, perfectly preserved doctor bags and lady purses. The most delicate antique collars, embroidered cuffs and peach 20s dresses, I was over the moon. I didn't take anything home with me though as the prices were not very affordable, but I could spend entire afternoons inspecting every corner of that room and curling up in the tea room with a good book.

Oh my, my, the outfit in the first shot is SO Green Gables!
This place looks as cute as a button... makes me want to go back to London and enjoy all those lovely places I never manage to find on my own. Too bad the lady forbade you to snap away... I could never really understand shopkeeper who won't agree to lovely pics being taker, but eh, there might be more to it.
Pinafore! I love a pinafore dress! I want to see more of those pinafore and how special you both look in them (do I detect *THE* stone pinafore dress we Orla suckers all swoon over? - they should really get you and Genevieve as new faces for the brand, you absolutely rock their frocks!)
Thanks again for this lovely entry!

@Solange Garnier - hahaha oh my, nothing goes past you my dear :D Yes it is *that* pinafore, we both have been terribly naughty indeed at the sales... but can you imagine us, together, in that shop? I can tell you, it's an evil place, everything looks so perfectly pretty making you easily lose your mind :D However, I don't regret it one bit! I will use it from spring to winter, it's such a practical piece, totally recommend it! ;) x

No doubt O.K.'s shop is the devil's lair, but I'm thinking you deserved to treat yourselves. I've actually been pretty naughty myself and bought the dress online (a little less romantic than the shop). Can't wait for you to share the various ways you'll style it and give me fab ideas! :)
