The last bit of the London photos, finally. I already feel nostalgic and would gladly go back for another long weekend, especially as it's SO hot here in Turin right now. But this month there will be plenty of fun things cooking (involving a lot of DIY for me and my mom!) and next week I'll officially be on holiday, so hopefully Alf and I will be able to escape for a few days and go to the beach!
These were taken in Geneviève's neighborhood and the little furry friend from the 1950s (apparently, Dumbo himself!) is a new addition to her vintage collection :) We found him in a little vintage shop in Battersea and as soon as we saw his cute face he reminded us of one character from a children's book that Geneviève was illustrating exactly that week. One look at each other and Mr. Elephant was coming home with us!

Le ultime foto da Londra! Piu' le guardo e piu' mi sento nostalgica, ci tornerei volentieri per un altro weekend lungo, soprattutto adesso che qui a Torino fa così caldo. Ma questo mese mi attendono un bel po' di cosine da preparare (sorpresa, sorpresa!) e la settimana prossima saro' ufficialmente in vacanza, quindi spero proprio di riuscire a scappare con Alf qualche giorno al mare!
Ma insomma, chi e' quell'elefantino peloso? A quanto pare e' proprio Dumbo (quello vero!) e arriva dagli anni '50. Io e Geneviève lo abbiamo trovato tutto solo soletto in un negozio vintage di Battersea, e appena lo abbiamo visto ci ha subito ricordato un personaggio del libro che lei stava illustrando proprio in quei giorni. E' bastato guardarci una sola volta e il Signor Elefantino stava gia' tornando a casa con noi :)
