Tram

I love taking the tram in Turin. Well I guess I don't have much of a choice since I never applied for a driving license... But taking the tram it's such a romantic thing, it's a totally different feel than being on a bus, it might be the wood interiors, the comfortable benches or the old fashioned feel to it, somehow even people is more polite. And in my town we're lucky to have some pretty fine looking trams, some of which date back from the 1910s and are still fully functional. An old lady once told me that if you look at the reflection on the windows when the sun sets, you might still spot the shadows of passengers from bygone eras...

Adoro prendere il tram a Torino. Vabbè, non e' che abbia particolarmente scelta, considerato che non ho mai voluto prendere la patente... Ma viaggiare in tram e' così romantico, ed e' tutta un'altra sensazione rispetto a stare su un autobus. Saranno gli interni in legno, le panchine accoglienti, o la sensazione di essere in un'altra epoca, persino la gente sembra essere piu' educata. E nella mia città abbiamo la fortuna di avere dei tram bellissimi, alcuni dei quali risalgono addirittura agli anni '10 e sono ancora perfettamente funzionanti. Una volta una vecchia signora mi disse che, guardando attraverso il riflesso sulle finestre dopo il tramonto, potrebbe capitare di scorgere la sagoma di alcuni passeggeri del passato...

ps - me l'avete chiesto in tante e allora ho investigato: la spilla da "signora dei gatti" potete trovarla qui! Il cappotto che indosso invece lo avete visto un sacco di volte (almeno qui e qui), le scarpe sono le ballerine Clarks che ho portato in giro per New York, la borsa e' vintage e le calze color gesso ormai sono le mie preferite quindi rassegnatevi perche' me le vedrete spessissimo ;)
